UNLV’s mission is to create a center of academic excellence in southern Nevada through superior teaching, research, and service. We look forward to meeting you at both of our orientations — new faculty/professional staff orientation and benefits orientation — as we continue to work toward this mission together.
New Faculty/Professional Staff Orientation
All newly-hired faculty and professional staff are encouraged to attend the new faculty/professional staff orientation. This orientation is an opportunity for you to meet other newcomers, meet the administration, hear about UNLV policies, and complete some of the details of your employment.
Benefits Orientation
All newly hired full-time faculty and staff members, including those who go from part-time to regular full-time, are required to attend the new-hire benefits orientation class. At the class, you will be able to enroll in the university's health and retirement plans. A representative from the UNLV benefits office will be available to review your benefits, answer questions, and help you complete enrollment forms.
Student Orientation Volunteer
Staff an Ask Me Booth during the first few days of fall classes and help students find their way around campus.
