About New Student Orientation
UNLV’s New Student Orientation for undergraduates is a one-day program that provides information and academic preparedness for you as you start your transition into the UNLV community.
At New Student Orientation you will:
New Student Orientation Registration
Once you are eligible to register for New Student Orientation, a registration link will appear on your MyUNLV account in the Communications Center. For students starting in the Spring 2013 semester, New Student Orientation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013. Once you register for a New Student Orientation session, you will receive an e-mail confirmation, which will include program times, parking information, directions, and check-in information.
Academic Advising
Academic advising is essential for appropriate course enrollment and academic counselors will be available to assist you during the Resource Fair at New Student Orientation. If you cannot attend New Student Orientation session, keep in mind that you are required to receive academic advising prior to enrolling in classes. Visit the Academic Advising site.
